work(ing) de-/+construction

at the beginning of May I was part of the group exhibition Paper, scissor, book at Galzenica Gallery.
raz(rad)a de-/+konstrukcije is a continuation of my work in deconstruction of the book and blending boundaries of a medium with a space of the gallery.

de-/+construction

... is a book that intertwines its space with the gallery space. Layers of elements create an installation that is fluid, soft and changeable. Some questions that I ask are: where is the boundary/edge of the work/book? At what moment does the text begin? Is (any) exhibition also a book?

One-woman exhibition

at the VN Gallery in Zagreb

I take boxes different shapes and sizes, open them, transform them from a 3D object into a two-dimensional surface which will hold the text. Their inside I use as the walls of the house / book on which I will write. Writings in the inside of the book / house / box are left naked, unprotected with time, pages, movement of pages. Text  is visible immediately; the idea is being digested at once. I am taking away the element of time so I can see if the idea of the book will collapse or hold.

This exhibition represents just one part of my constant book explorations, physical and conceptual play which is fluid.
I perceive written words as objects. Small, big, round, flat, yellow, white, fragila, strong, cold, soft. (My) texts are just compositions of different words. They are not telling a story, they are not painting a picture.
By default, they are trying to fing a meaning.

Solo exhibition

here in Zagreb...
I wanted to show my process of playing with the fragile line between a book and a drawing/poster/a piece of paper and ask a question when does the book begin? that led me to another question (and not the answer as one would expect) & that is: what if a book is made/born with every thought?

homage to Stilinović

it feels kind of empty when you suddenly don't have an abundance of great art at, well, at your doorstep. but, when you are reminded that great artists are nearer than you think and you can enjoy and touch their art, it is time to pay a tribute.
