I've been very productive lately & also experimenting a lot with ways of building a book. but for most of the work I have done in last week or two I have no idea is it any good. - one of the best things about time is that it gives us the answer to that question.

Maybe lost?

working on a couple of deadlines... for possible exhibitions next year.. and I got a bit wonder off the trail of a book. I guess it's difficult to make a book. it takes time & people don't invest half of that time to really look at it. . so, maybe I kind of gave up. maybe I will keep new books just for me. in my head. what I'll show now are just fragments of one big book. maybe it will be enough for a proper reading..

Solo exhibition

here in Zagreb...
I wanted to show my process of playing with the fragile line between a book and a drawing/poster/a piece of paper and ask a question when does the book begin? that led me to another question (and not the answer as one would expect) & that is: what if a book is made/born with every thought?

Exhibition

in a couple of weeks, I will participate in a group show here in Zagreb.
I was asked to show my latest work, a pair of boxes, full of tiny papers (tea bags paper) with writings on them.
but, the author of the show decided the boxes will be under glass. I agreed because that is how she wanted to manipulate the viewer's reading of my work. I would never make that decision but in this case I trust her to do that.

my new unique artist's book. it's a poetry book, poems are triggered by handmade paper which I made out of pieces of wood, paper, pencil shawings and grass.

Collaborative work

this is a book made in collaboration with a female writer. I took her written words and respond intuitively to them - binding them into a concertina made out of connected Rorschach ink blots; only black and white, in a simple black box. it will be an edition of 5, but every book will be different, unique.

new book. made very quickly. pure intuition. it represents the direction which I want to take in my books. trying to catch the purest me in my work.

All Is Now

in the moment of not planning, not knowing where you are going, you are stopped. not you, everything stops. because it is still anyway.
so I made a book about that.

 

How to Impress

I think I can safely say I succeeded in this one. I am glad I let intuition guide me.
